Looking for a qualified an Occupational Health & Safety Data Analyst to contribute to the management of occupational health & safety data in a Global Enterprise data repository. The incumbent will be tasked with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting occupational health & safety-related data to safeguard the well-being of individuals, products, or processes within the organization. This role is pivotal in fostering and upholding a secure work environment, with their efforts directly contributing to the ongoing enhancement of occupational health & safety practices within the organization. Work Style: Virtual - work from home. Responsibilities: Data Collection: Gather safety-related data from various sources, including incident reports, inspection records, and other relevant KPI sources. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of collected data. Data Analysis: Employ statistical and analytical methods to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in safety data. Conduct root cause analysis to understand the underlying factors contributing to safety incidents. Report Generation: Prepare and present comprehensive reports summarizing safety data analysis findings. Develop executive summaries of findings and communicate insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholders. Risk Assessment: Evaluate the level of risk associated with different safety incidents or trends. Develop risk mitigation strategies and recommend improvements to existing safety protocols. Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, standards, and guidelines. Database Management: Maintain and update safety databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Implement data quality control measures to minimize errors in reporting. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including safety officers, engineers, and other relevant departments. Collaborate with external agencies or authorities as needed. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in safety data collection, analysis, and reporting. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Data Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline. Analytical Skills: Proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Technical Skills: Knowledge of data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, statistical software). Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau). Industry Knowledge: Understanding of safety regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to the specific industry. Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting findings. Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Attention to Compliance: Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and a commitment to ensuring compliance.
