Nurse Manager (NM) - Medical Surgical (Med/Surg)

CTTX Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Manager to join our Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) department. As the Nurse Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in our Med/Surg unit.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) department.

  • Ensure optimal patient care by maintaining high standards of nursing practice, monitoring patient outcomes, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.

  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of Med/Surg staff, including nurses and support staff.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and promote interdisciplinary communication and teamwork.

  • Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for the Med/Surg department.

  • Provide guidance and support to staff in clinical decision-making and problem-solving.

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical surgical nursing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in medical surgical nursing and healthcare management.
