Description Nurse Manager Clinical Education and Long-Term Care Manager About the role : This is a dual role focusing on both education and primary oversight of a 20-bed Long-Term Care skilled nursing unit (2N) which includes management of residents, nurses, CNAs and other members of the interdisciplinary team. This role: Directs and facilitates educational programs to support the development of caregivers. Requires use of appropriate educational methods and technology, adult learning theory, and the ability to integrate mission and core values into all aspects of Staff Development. Implements and monitors education programs to support any plans of correction for skilled nursing and assisted living. Is responsible for New Employee Orientation, Annual Mandatory Compliance training, other education as needed including skill fairs and drills. Manages unit scheduling and serves as the main point of contact for nursing schools who utilize the Mount for clinical sessions for students. Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire. 2 years - as an RN in LTC, Transitional Care Unit, or comparable setting. Knowledge of current trends in geriatric nursing Proficiency in technology required for job performance Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree - Masters Degree in Nursing. Advanced certification in Minimum Data Set-Resident Assessment Instrument (MDS-RAI), process and completion by the American Association of Post-Acute Nursing upon hire.
