We are looking for a best-in-class Network Engineer for the Backbone Engineering team in Seattle, Washington. This team is working in the heart of our global network. We are looking to hire motivated, best-in-class engineers for our Seattle engineering center. The engineers within our team are instrumental in allowing us drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and to discover innovative ways to automate and scale our network as we expand globally.

Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, very detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and has significant experience of supporting large scale, enterprise class networks. The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential. In addition to providing top-tier management and support of vast network infrastructure, Network Engineers are expected to develop best practices, refine operational procedure and constantly think pro-actively and with innovation.

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Knowledge of major Internet routing protocols such BGP and OSPF

· Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.

· Knowledge of professional network engineering practices & best practices

· Being able to contribute to and set network engineering “best practices” within the team and globally.

· Experienced with Linux/UNIX environments, its challenges and considerations.

PREFERRED SKILLS

· Excellent analytical skills.

· Experienced with designing solutions.

· Familiar with scripting languages such as Python

Network engineering, Firewall, BGP, OSPF

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Need Network Engineers who can follow critical procedures and have strong attention to detail. These Engineers need to understand the impact of the changes they are making on the production systems and devices they are working on.
