We are looking for a talented administrator with a focus on network operations who is highly motivated to innovate and automate. As a key contributor to ourEnterprise Technical Solution - Network Servicesteam, this position provides direct ownership of key infrastructure technologies. The position will draw on experience monitoring, troubleshooting and refreshing network route/switch equipment, firewalls, as well as general understanding of network routing concepts such as BGP.A successful candidate will understand the guiding principles of the standard OSI and Purdue models and how those principles should be implemented in a large enterprise environment.

Primary Responsibilities

TheNetwork Administrator IIrole**provides implementation, management, and maintenance of core components within a large-scale enterprise corporate and OT networks. Candidate will focus on maintaining a secure, highly available and highly reliable network infrastructure of both corporate and OT production environments. Responsibilities include planning, maintaining, monitoring and refreshing the core network hardware, troubleshooting reported network incidents, and engaging with key vendors and service providers. This role has the ability to be a fully remote work-from-home position, provided you are currently based (or are planning to move to) one of the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington. This role is not open to those who live in other states or countries.

Position Expectations

Planning, maintaining, and monitoring the core network hardware:

  • Use standard monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Catalyst Center, Meraki Dashboard) to ensure network availability and eliminate configuration drift.
  • Troubleshoots, configures, and operates network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and wireless controllers.
  • Implements, and optimizes network solution designsaligned with company standards.
  • Follow standard procedures for deploying new network hardware and services.
  • Manage and maintain network diagrams.
  • Manage and maintain network asset database.
  • Partners with, and supports, the business to maintain optimal services.
  • Travels as necessary to facilities across North America, expected travel 30 - 40%.
  • Participates in on-call rotation (one week every 6-8 weeks).
  • Follow all documented standard operating procedures in accordance with IT security policies.
  • Engaging with key vendors and service providers as needed for escalation and incident resolution.

  • Seek and participate in continuous learning opportunities, both formal training/conference events and informal ad-hoc sessions.

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT (or equivalent) and\or 3 years of practical network services experience.

  • Solid understand the guiding principles standard OSI model o Solid understanding of network layer 2 concepts such as VLANs, spanning tree, 802.1q trunking, and wireless networking o Solid understanding of network layer 3 concepts including network routing concepts and static routing o Solid understanding of network layer 4 concepts such as TCP and UDP
  • Demonstrated understanding of application data flow on a network.
  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of application-aware firewall technologies.
  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of SDWAN technologies.
  • Possesses proficient level technical knowledge and skills and a fundamental knowledge of how network technologies are integrated.
  • Understanding of basic authentication and network access concepts including ISE, TACACS, Kerberos, and other AAA services.
  • Familiarity with fundamentals of network automation and DevOps practices using Python or Ansible a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in communicating technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to communicate confidently/effectively and build partnerships with OT/ICS manufacturing key personnel.
  • Excellent collaboration skills in working together with others across all IT segments.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment and understanding the reliability, sensitivity, and critical requirements of network requirements and expectations.
  • Skilled in solving highly complex problems and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Skilled understanding of IT Service Management.
  • Able to apply business knowledge to develop and deliver innovative, value-added improvements.
  • Proven ability to operate and effectively communicate while under pressure; as well as the ability to manage a diverse workload and work under time constraints with minimal supervision.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience operating in a multi-cloud computing environment (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Experience working with OT/ICS manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Meraki, Cisco, PaloAlto, VeloCloud technologies.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Industrial Switching, specifically Cisco IE and Stratix industrial switch technologies.
  • Experience with OT/ICS Manufacturing switching protocols and technologies including PtP, RSPAN, CIP, EthernetIP.
  • Network , CCNA, and/or PaloAlto Certifications would be an asset. What We Offer:

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $79,300-$119,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications, and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees can enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
