To meet the growing demand for Amazon Web Services in the America's the Solution Architecture team is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced Manager to create and execute a leadership vision over a team of Program Managers. If you think you have what it takes to lead the best in the industry, AWS is hiring a Manager for our Builder360 and Workforce Transformation as a Service initiatives.In this role, we are seeking a leader who will own a suite of programs aimed at identifying, hiring and developing Builders from historically untapped talent pools. This leader will be responsible for a team of Program Managers that own each of these individual programs. The leader will also be responsible for creating mechanisms across a varied set of business needs including Strategy and Planning, Business reporting, dashboards and Headcount planning. The leader will report into the Senior Leader over Workforce programs and work closely with other managers in other geos gathering requirements for business challenges, designing solutions, and scaling execution. You will be part of a Workforce Transformation team focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion across a broad set of programs supporting internships, early career talent, military veteran hiring, employee centric analytics and career development mechanisms. You will need to have an understanding of how to take a hiring plan from an idea all the way through execution. Background in headcount planning, forecasting, program analysis and setting KPIs. To be successful in this position, you must be highly motivated, creative, and a self-starter who is able to think big, execute, yet stay focused on the details.You will be responsible for all aspects of all NAMER UTP programs. Qualified candidates have experience defining and managing KPIs using Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), a strong operational understanding, as well as analyzing cost/benefit tradeoffs, and conducting industry research. You will hire and develop a team of individuals that will report directly to you to execute the program.In this role, you will need to dive deep into the needs of the organization to understand the business priorities of SA and CSM individual contributor and managers. You must enjoy learning and sharing about the needs of our customers and employees working backwards to create effective hiring and development mechanisms to scale. You will need to be adept at interacting, communicating and partnering with other departments within AWS across our field teams, Student Programs, Early Career Talent and Recruiting.To be successful in this position, you must possess exceptional people management skills, demonstrated ability to deliver through others and effectively engage with all levels of the organization. This role requires very strong cross-functional interlock and communication as the audience is diverse and very technical in nature. The candidate will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way. The candidate will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
