Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Municipal Water Practice Lead with a focus in drinking water, wastewater, or conveyance in our Seattle, Washington office. Your expertise as a Seller/Doer PM who can lead growth (and delivery) in our municipal practice with an emphasis on wastewater treatment and collections is critical. You’ll have the exciting opportunity to focus on a mix of key client business growth, project delivery leadership and the mentorship and development of engineering staff by leveraging top notch regional and national water/wastewater engineering expertise and capabilities to expand AECOM’s business within Washington.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with senior members of our Water Business Line team to seek new municipal business opportunities.

  • Lead client related activities.

  • Participate in local community and industry related events.

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to local staff.

  • Communicate project tasks between offices – high level of coordination and communication skills required.

  • Makes presentations to clients and internally to staff.

  • Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.

  • Responsible for both the technical practice and operational management of one large or multiple small to medium sized offices/operating units with moderate complexity.

  • Determines and executes the strategic direction of the office(s) to ensure financial profitability.

  • Works in conjunction with the district and/or regional management to ensure financial success of the offices within the district or operating unit.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience with progressive experience as PE/PM in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure engineering design and construction or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience

  • Licensed Professional Engineer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering.

  • 20 years of related experience, with progressive experience as PE/PM in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure engineering design and construction.

  • Experience working in the greater Seattle, Washington geographic area for the water/wastewater/stormwater industry is highly preferred.

  • Experience in managing and/or delivering projects by alternative delivery.

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $150,000.00 - $200,000.00.
