Wireless Advocates Multimedia & Instructional Design Specialist in SEATTLE, Washington

The L&D Multimedia Design Specialist is responsible for developing consistent, audience appropriate training assets, using digital creative mediums, video and visual design standards. They will create, maintain and enforce use of digital medium design templates including the Articulate, Adobe and Microsoft Suites. They will keep current on changes in design philosophy and implement these into standards used. They will be knowledgeable in Video and Multimedia production and develop creative concepts, layouts and finished assets for web, print and video training. This position is responsible for ensuring excellence in graphic design and working with the Organization to produce engaging, quality, attention-grabbing visual content for our target markets, which includes development of Web-Based Training.


The L&D Multimedia Design Specialist will assist the Learning and Development department in coordination of various day-to-day training activities including:

•Own the visual design for L&D, and be available to partner with HR, Operations and others for visual design needs across the organization

•Create, prepare, and format templates, documents and training materials in accordance with Learning and Development departmental brand and style guidelines. Develop the department visual standards and ensure departmental brand consistency

•Own Videography for L&D and partner with HR, Operations, Merchandising and the Executive team for additional video needs

•Assist the L&D team, and design instructional modules and reference material

•Review developed material for quality and accuracy

•Coordinate multiple projects, including producing high quality work under tight deadlines

•Create quality multimedia using photography, videography and graphics to illustrate L&D Standards and assets to be used in training material

•Develop and utilize audience metrics to help drive content and style improvements and make recommendations to increase viewership of produced content

•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to evaluate what’s working and what’s not with peers and leadership while developing an ongoing plan to improve quality. Position will require travel throughout the US up to 10%

•Basic maintenance & usage of our Learning Management System


•Work with Supervisor and content drivers to design/shape storytelling and improve content quality that will meet audience needs and interests

•Work with Merchandising/Marketing/HR/Operations partners to match video to Company Branding and the latest creative direction and formatting from Carriers/Manufacturers

•Work with Executives to increase viewership in video content, and readership in multimedia content


•Have vision and creativity that you can apply hands-on to train a dynamic retail sales team!

•Degree in Communications, Video Production, Graphic Design preferred, or equivalent in experience and education

•Demonstrates command of photo, video, graphic design, and storytelling techniques

•Intermediate to advanced knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite; Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate, Vyond, and Canva

•Ability to apply Adult Learning Theory and Instructional Design to content development prefered

•Self-motivation, organizational skills and self-direction, retail industry knowledge a plus

•Effective communicator. Adept at writing, spelling, and grammar

•Able to multi-task and excel under tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment

•Works collaboratively within a cross-functional environment; able to get along with diverse personalities and adept in working with Executive-level team members

•2 years of previous retail experience preferred, understanding, and demonstration of consultative selling techniques preferred

•Familiarity with LMS development, usage & SCORM standards

•Ability to travel 10% of time

-Ability to travel to, and move about in, field locations to perform field assessments
