Our Global Communications team serves as an advocate to drive awareness for the customer experience, while also enhancing and protecting the brand perception and reputation. We are looking for an experienced, creative, and highly motivated brand communications practitioner to develop and lead programs that support the brand reputation and drive positive perception, news, and stories through multi-channel storytelling.

This role requires a proactive self-starter with expertise in creating and executing creative brand campaigns and the ability to navigate a global business with creativity and flexibility as well as bring others along. For this role, we are looking for a brand communications practitioner who has a pulse on trends and a passion for culture-driven work, as well as the ability to incorporate business, consumer, and media insights into their work. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks’ guiding principles.

As a senior brand communications manager, you will…

· Develop and execute annual brand campaigns that support the customer experience and brand perception through various channels and disciplines such as earned media, social media, owned channels, and paid storytelling.

· In this role, you will be empowered to think and operate in and outside the “PR box” creating campaigns that activate across all channels and working alongside multiple cross-functional teams – from marketers, operators, business category leads, and external business partners – to support our brand campaigns.

· Thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and lead cross-functional plans within a large retailer. Have the ability to work with little supervision and manage deadlines and multiple projects at one time.

We’d love to hear from people with:

· Demonstrated experience in consumer/brand communications, at a multi-unit retailer, consumer packaged goods company, or an agency (at least 7-9 year’s experience).

· Experience building and executing consumer brand campaigns with through a reputational and cultural lens.

· The ability to influence, inspire, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND, or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
