Job Description

NOTE: This position is offered as a hybrid role in the Seattle, WA area. You must be willing to work in office at the Nordstrom Seattle office a minimum of 3 days/week in order to be considered for this position.

As a Merchandise Analyst for Nordstrom Product Group (NPG), you will facilitate order validation and Item set-up quality checks within the private label order writing process, as well as support your merchandisers with sample management, data entry, item intent attributes management, and reporting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, be detail-oriented, and maintain curiosity to identify efficiencies and process improvements within the product lifecycle. The individual will liaise with internal partners -- merchandisers, brand specialists, production planners, product developers, and external vendors to support accurate, timely order validations, item set-ups, and problem-solving needs.

A day in the life…

  • Support Merchandisers in pulling reporting tailored for their pre- and in-season strategy needs, preparing for Buy Meetings, and inputting and managing data.

  • Develop an understanding of brand performance metrics to identify trends of how customers shop by division, season, and channel.

  • Execute Quality Checks for Order Validation and Item Set-Up within the NPG Order Writing process to ensure accuracy of the Buy.

  • Align cross-functionally on end-to-end process standards and identify issues via root cause analysis.

  • Maintain item intent accuracy from Buy Meeting prep through In-Store through a series of quality checks.

You own this if you have…

  • 1+ year of experience working in a professional environment

  • Preferred Industry: Retail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Outlook, Excel, and Smartsheet (primarily Outlook and Excel navigation, with an understanding of formula syntax and pivot tables)

  • Effective time management skills and attention to detail with the ability to organize and retain a large volume of process knowledge and ability to analyze data with a customer-centric focus

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and deliver clear and effective written and verbal communication

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality and problem solving acumen to determine root cause and provide solutions to mitigate future issues

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $51,000 - $94,000 annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
