Seattle Children’s Hospital Medical Assistant - Certified Orthopedics in Seattle, Washington

Responsibilities: $5,000 Sign on Bonus for Eligible new hires! If you have a passion for sports and orthopedic medicine, working as a medical assistant in this field allows you to be directly involved in the care and treatment of athletes and individuals with musculoskeletal issues. The healthcare industry, in general, offers job stability, and medical assistants in orthopedics and sports medicine are likely to be in demand as people continue to seek specialized care for musculoskeletal injuries. Orthopedics and sports medicine is a growing field, with increasing demand for medical professionals to address age related orthopedic conditions. Perform individualized patient procedures, treatment and tests. Perform associated clerical tasks including chart preparation, stocking clinic supplies and answering telephones. Provide advanced assistance with medical clinic operations and monitoring of clinic flow. Please note this position may also work at our Bellevue, Everett and Federal Way locations. #LI-SK1 Requirements: Required Education/Experience: - High School Diploma or equivalent experience Required Credentials: - Medical Assistant - Certified or Interim Certification by Washington Department of Health (DOH) prior to start date - Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) Preferred: - Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program - Current or recent Medical Assistant experience in Pediatrics, Urgent Care and/or Medical screening and immunization - Current National Medical Assistant Association Certfication (eligible for premium) Min to Max Hourly Salary: $25.25 - $35.21 /hr Min to Max Annual Salary: $52,520.00 - $73,233.00 /yr Salary Information: This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
