Actalent Mechanical Engineer in Seattle, Washington

Seeking a Mechanical Designer to join a drone delivery program in South Seattle!

Job Description

We're looking for an outstanding mechanical designer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs, performing related testing and analysis, and generating test reports for cameras and radars used in flight. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production-level designs.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Related Field

  • 5-8+ years of Industry Experience

  • 3+ Aerospace Industry experience (Must know aerospace processes, regulations, standards for product design).

  • 5+ years Mechanical Design experience using CATIA V6 3D

  • 5+ years Environmental and Chamber testing experience (HALT/HASS, Vibration, Thermal, Shock, etc.,)

  • Experience Writing Reports/Technical Documentation of Testing and understand Aerospace regulations, processes, and standards.

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 15 Month(s) with opportunity for extension and conversion to fulltime with the client based on performance and business needs.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Seattle, Washington.

Work Environment

The engineer will spend a lot of time in the lab, so will need to be onsite. If it is a heavy design day, can work from home and is flexible with start and stop time.
