Summary
Prepare equipment and materials for shipment. Complete all required documentation. Inspect and assure that outgoing shipments maintain both product and packaging quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepare equipment and materials for shipment according to shipping order, which may include handling, storing, and cutting material.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure that they meet the requirements of the shipping order and have been properly protected against damage.
- Prepare and complete all shipping documentation: air waybills, bills of lading, shipper's letter of instructions, and certificates of conformance.
- Maintain and control inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Process equipment and materials for staging of future shipments.
Operate forklift to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or other work areas.

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to four years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires knowledge of state, federal, FAA, and international shipping regulations and customs documentation. Ability to operate a forklift. IATA Dangerous Goods Certification may be obtained during the course of employment, if needed. Knowledge of AS9120 or AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards is preferred.
