This job contributes to Starbucks success by performing critical inventory control functions of processing and shipping repair and maintenance parts to support the brewing and grinding equipment in our stores. This small team of nine Seattle based partners is responsible for distribution of Brewing and Grinding parts for over 10,000 stores in US and Canada.

Work schedule: Day shift/Monday- Friday

As a Materials Handling Rep 2 , you will…

· Review parts order requests and upload or manually key orders into inventory system

· Generate and organize required paperwork for warehouse use

· Physically pick, pack and ship orders to service technicians

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to understand written and verbal policies and guidelines, specifications and safety standards

  • Basic math skills

  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Problem solving skills and a proactive approach

  • Ability to follow verbal direction

  • Familiarity with computerized inventory and order selection systems

  • Flexibility to work overtime as required, even on short notice

  • Ability to operate required material handling equipment

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Organizational skills

Preferred: Years of experience in specific field or utilizing designated skills (minimum needed to be qualified): 1 year of Distribution or inventory environment

Requirement

  • Bending/Twisting: Continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine.

  • Carrying: Moving an object, usually by holding it in hands or arms, or on shoulders.

  • Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs, and hands and arms.

  • Computer: Usage or other special equipment operated.

  • Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise performing precision work with hand or hands.

  • Hearing: Receiving detailed information through oral communication.

  • Kneeling: Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee(s).

  • Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another using hands, arms and shoulders, back and legs. - up to 40 lbs.

  • Pushing/Pulling: Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves away from or toward the force.

  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

  • Sitting: Remaining in the normal seated position.

  • Standing/Walking: Remaining on one's feet in an upright position at a workstation or moving about a work area.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
