University Marketing & Communications has an exciting opening for a Marketing Project Manager. This is a full-time, 6-month temporary position.

The Marketing Project Manager supports all day-to-day workflow on marketing projects that advance the reputation, resources and relationships of the University of Washington and support its mission. Those projects could include the development of the UW Welcome Center, Portage Bay Crossing future developments, brand campaign launch components, post-season football, and aspects of integrated annual plan execution. This role is also integral in project managing various marketing projects and cross-departmental marketing projects.

As an Ambassador of the University Marketing & Communications (UMAC) team, the Marketing Project Manager embodies our values while representing brand leadership and a commitment to excellence. The role upholds, guides and facilitates the mission of University Marketing and Communications in all areas including; branding and marketing, building partnerships and collaborations across the University.

It will be crucial for this position to clearly communicate with all partners to ensure all parties are informed and updated, to report out to leadership as needed, to generate regular scheduled meetings and information sessions for all needs. It is imperative for the specialist to represent the University in a positive and knowledgeable way in all interactions.

What You Will Do: 95% Marketing Project Management

  • Manage multiple workstreams for deliverables in various stages of completion, from start to finish.

  • Advise partners on project timelines, current project status and capacity. Lead the weekly check-ins with key team members on each project’s status.

  • Connect with project team/colleagues daily to ensure successful execution of all assets.

  • Manage projects through a lens of equitable, antiracist communication and collaboration practices, being open to ongoing learning and feedback.

  • Help remove ambiguity in work requests and issues that arise, to provide a clear path forward for project teams.

  • Effectively articulate and advise on roadblocks, gaps and project needs. Identify risks and provide recommended solutions.

  • Manage project budget and work within budget constraints to meet project requirements.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite software to compile, organize and disseminate information efficiently and effectively. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications related field and four years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, project management, administration or related field. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. What You Can Expect:
