The Worldwide Events team is the biggest party planning committee on the planet, driving a global vision and execution of High Velocity Events (HVEs) for our customers -- think Prime Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday! We work across our US and global partners to deliver exciting offers & deals, a personalized shopping experience, and all-around excitement during the biggest shopping days of the year.

As Marketing Manager, Worldwide Events, you’ll be responsible for executing the onsite eCommerce strategy for HVEs. This includes the onsite marketing allocations, traffic planning, experiment planning, and reporting. To be successful in this role, you will have experience with both marketing and managing programs end-to-end. You will be comfortable building A/B experiments, pulling performance data, and making recommendations for future improvements. You need to be an excellent communicator both in person and in written communications, as we have hundreds of global stakeholders. You will be comfortable with ambiguous challenges and operating independently, but know when to ask for guidance. You will be equally comfortable working with marketers, product managers, and teams across retail and programs.

Key job responsibilities

Marketing Manager, Worldwide Events responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage HVE onsite marketing placement allocations for 80+ partner teams globally. This includes continual process improvement, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, and implementing the plan within defined timelines.

  • Build and execute HVE global experimentation plan for key onsite pages, including Homepage and Event Page. Report on learnings and leverage for future HVEs.

  • Develop and sustain strong partnerships with key internal stakeholders. Establish regular mechanism to communicate upcoming initiatives, deadlines, changes to strategy, etc.

  • Support onsite reporting workstream. This includes pulling and manipulating data to be used in decision-making, establishing benchmarks for event performance, etc.

  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and teams to iterate on objectives and opportunities.

  • Contribute to high-quality written documents to senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

  • Proven experience developing and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships

  • Experience with end-to-end program/project management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs

  • Experience with A/B testing, especially around audience segmentation and targeting

  • Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives

  • Experience with Amazon merchandising tools such as Content Symphony, as well as reporting tools such as Sophia and Cardboard

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
