As a manager of supplier relationships for Global Store Development Sustainability, you will manage our supplier sourcing and management program, including waste management and utilities. You will partner with sustainability professionals, implementing industry best-practice solutions and strategies and developing key relationships that meet strategic business needs and sustainability goals.

As a manager of supplier relationships , you will…

  • Develop and drive supplier strategy for sustainability – Build strategic and operational plans and service level agreements, managing execution and measuring results

  • Unlock supplier potential – Work cross-functionally and within the team to identify opportunities to better leverage suppliers to improve store service and achieve sustainability goals

  • Lead a team of professional service providers supporting day to day operations – Conduct business reviews, support problem-solving and program development

  • Drive continuous improvement - Develop a framework and support process development to deliver continuous leading-edge performance

  • Lead supplier innovation - Research industry trends, identify synergies between suppliers, and source viable new suppliers to support continued innovation

  • Enjoy working on an energetic, fun team and have a clear ability to drive sustainable solutions as part of a highly collaborative team, while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • 7 years of contract management experience

  • 7 years of financial analysis, modeling, and business planning experience

  • 7 years of managing multiple functions in a dynamic, high-growth organization, including strategic alliance development, supplier management and performance assessment

  • 7 years of operations and procurement experience in a retail, high-tech or information technology industry

  • 5 years of experience developing and implementing leading edge policies and processes

  • 5 years of experience developing sourcing requirements and strategies based on business requirements

  • 5 years of experience leading key sourcing activities and supplier performance programs

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Business acumen

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities

  • Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with business and technology partners

  • Ability to apply sound business principles and practices

  • Advanced knowledge of industry trends and best practices for sourcing and supplier relationship management
