Job Details:

As Manager, Real Estate Data Strategy & Analytics you will partner with business teams to understand and document needs and requirements for business intelligence, process automation, and strategic decision support making.

In this role you will own and lead the planning, development, implementation, delivery, support, and maintenance of reports, dashboards and insights that empower strategic and near real-time operational decision-making. You'll own and drive the creation of self-serve analytics tools and data products to enable insight discovery in near-real-time. We're looking for someone who can help automate/scale existing analysis methods and institute new approaches on modeling and analysis frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Support a team that builds analytics and reporting solutions to help scale operations

  • Guide the real estate team developing deeper insights and more scalable solutions

  • Lead discovery sessions with analytics consumers to develop scope of new requests

  • Propose new analytics and insights based on both your analytic expertise, data and system knowledge, and business insight

  • Establish priorities and measure progress for analytics teams

  • Develop and present value propositions for new analytics, clearly depicting how the business benefits from new insights

  • Make use of data visualization (Tableau) and analytic tools (SQL, R) to grasp the business insights from multiple different data sources

  • Collaborate cross functionally with the different teams across real estate and support each functional team’s priorities

  • Support the data modeling, data mining, ETL process, and data warehousing

  • Communicate and influence people and teams to leverage new analytics/insights

  • High attention to detail and expectation for accuracy from yourself and your team

  • Ability to innovate, navigate, and execute in an ambiguous and dynamic environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with all aspects of data management including data modeling, data mining, data warehouses, data lakes, ETL, and data visualization

  • Experience with complex relational databases and programming languages (SQL, R, Python etc.) with an aptitude to learn other technical applications

  • 5+ years of experience as an analyst or engineer in the data/BI space working with Tableau or similar data visualization tools

  • 2+ years people management experience successfully leading a data analytics or Business Intelligence team (or equivalent experience managing peers or team members in a mentorship/informal capacity)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline (including Technical Field, Computer Science, Mathematics, Analytics)

  • Experience with SQL, data analysis, visualization tools (e.g. Tableau), or programming languages such as Python

  • Experience using quantitative approaches to deliver business insights and drive change

  • Previous experience working with key real estate data assets like occupancy data, work orders, spatial data, and other secondary data
