Within Amazon, The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon’s corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF provides real estate transactions expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management, facility maintenance, and operations all contributing to the employee experience and leveraging places and programs to enable culture to thrive at Amazon.

We are seeking an experienced communications professional to drive integrated communications strategies and campaigns to support GREF’s business priorities and initiatives. This individual will be well-versed in all facets of communications, with the ability to work at both the strategic and tactical level to help us inform, inspire and engage Amazonians at large, business partners, and our internal GREF employees.

This role is be part of the GREF Global Communications team and will primarily work cross-functionally with GREF program leaders in Workplace Design + Construction, Business Partnering, Global Portfolio Strategy & Transactions, and Portfolio Management. This role will also work in collaboration with GREF Regional Communications and Amazon Corporate Communications.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • BA in communications, PR, journalism, marketing, business or equivalent 7+ years professional experience.

  • Experience working for large, matrixed organizations.

  • Experience developing end-to-end communications plans.

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and working cross-functionally.

  • Strong writer, strong written and verbal communications skills.

  • Experience using data, metrics and insights to drive comms plans and measure ROI

  • Experience in internal and/or B2B communications

  • Experience working across global teams in multiple locales

  • Experience producing content for diverse communications channels

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and manages the execution of strategic communication plans and the implementation of communications tactics for various GREF programs and initiatives

  • Engage regularly with cross-functional GREF program owners to understand their key priorities, track milestones and timelines, proactively identify comms opportunities, and provide expert communications guidance and counsel.

  • Develop narratives, messaging and other various visual and written communications assets. Review and edit program materials to ensure consistency in GREF brand voice and Amazon writing standards.

  • Elevate GREF storytelling by developing content for communications channels such as the GREF Hub, GREF People, GREF Slack, etc.

  • Manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges with an ability to look around corners for to plan ahead and mitigate risk

  • Exercise extremely high judgment, particularly in narrow timeframes.

  • Roll up sleeves and get work done, even when at times it’s outside the scope of the job.

  • Employ both proactive and reactive strategic thinking and decision making

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of internal communications

  • Continuously measure, evaluate, and modify communications plans and tactics to improve impact and effectiveness

  • Developing a deep understanding of the GREF’s vision, mission, programs and initiatives, and organizational culture.

  • Contribute to the overall GREF Communications culture and comradery, sharing comms best practices and helping to mentor others.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • 5+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross functional marketing programs

  • Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
