Amazon Manager, Finance Mgmt - Ads Sales Finance FP&A in Seattle, Washington

The Amazon Advertising (Ads) Sales FP&A team is seeking a highly motivated Manager, Finance Management to enhance and streamline foundational aspects of our reporting in order to drive consistency and analytics across our global sales team. This includes holistic ownership of revenue forecasts, country level P&Ls, benchmarking, and cost of service analytics. This role will also include partnering with the Sales Enablement & Insights (SE&I) business team.

This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities, outstanding business acumen and strong interpersonal skills to partner with Finance, Sales, Analytics, Insights and Product teams. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment with a high degree of exposure to senior leadership.

Key job responsibilities

  • Partner with the Product and Sales Finance teams to build revenue forecasts which guide sales quotas

  • Coordinate with the Analytics team to both centralize and automate our reporting to drive insights around key metrics (e.g. Revenue, OPEX, Productivity, Inputs, Retention) for the Global Advertising Sales team

  • Build, iterate, and automate financial reports, metrics, and scorecards to support short and long-term planning

  • Establish foundational metrics and reporting for Sales Enablement & Insights (SE&I) organization

  • Establish cost of service analytics and validation

  • Contribute with deep-dive analyses and insights in Quarterly and Monthly Business Reviews

  • Ad hoc business support

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 2+ years of direct management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 6+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience

  • 3+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase or Cognos) and providing recommendations based on results of ad hoc analyses to management for strategic decision-making

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $111,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
