Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and production machines and equipment. Key responsibilities include dismantling devices to remove defective parts, examining parts for imperfections, inspecting used parts for dimensional changes, repairing or replacing defective parts, installing special functional and structural parts, lubricating and cleaning machinery, testing and adjusting equipment, operating metalworking tools, sharpening and reshaping tools, initiating purchase orders for parts, and repairing electrical equipment. The role also involves following plant food safety policies and industry best practices.

Work Environment

Fish Plant - PPE required on the floor, may be cold and wet or have fish smell in some locations. Hair net, bump cap, smock, and steel toe boots required.
