This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers you will be responsible for working closely with design and development engineers to support all manufacturing efforts and equipment related to building custom manufacturing process machine tools. This includes leading the manufacturing and assembly work that is performed on machine tools, as well as delivery of the various sub-systems in support of programmatic budgets and schedules. Special Mentions: Relocation provided Travel expected up to 0% of the time Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordinate the manufacturing of custom manufacturing machine tools, including structural, pneumatic, and electrical systems integration Develop overall assembly sequencing for machine tool assembly and make real-time adjustments as needed to reorient with production issues Develop and maintain assembly and build schedules Interpret design engineering documents into work orders that direct touch labor on the machine integration floor Support hardware integration of complex electromechanical devices on the floor and troubleshoot issues as they arise throughout the day Provide design for manufacturability review of machine tool designs, and make recommendations to improve quality, simplify operations and reduce cost Develop and implement preventive actions related to discrepancies Coordinate and create procurement tickets through internal ITS system. Follow-up as necessary to ensure timely delivery of procurements in order to meet schedule and plan Take ownership of product quality, establishing procedures and processes to support continuous improvement Minimum Qualifications: B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering or other relevant field Proven experience and successful track record delivering fully integrated, highly engineered products to completion in relevant industries (Aerospace, Marine, Automotive, Medical, Manufacturing, etc.) Strong written, personal, and computer skills. Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately at the executive leadership level and on the shop floor Hands on experience assembling or operating mechanical and electromechanical systems Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
