Perkins Coie LLP Litigation Docketing Specialist in Seattle, Washington

Job Description: Perkins Coie is looking for a dynamic, experienced individual to take on the Litigation Docketing Specialist role who, under minimal supervision, will provide docketing coverage for nationally located offices in a timely and accurate fashion. This position will also provide backup coverage as needed in assisting other docketing specialists with firm-wide docketing. This position will be working in accordance with the firm's Remote Work Policy as this is a remote work position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS These essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation. Assist in coordinating the docketing process, which includes the following functions: Monitor office-specific inboxes for receipt of docketing requests and coordinate with those who send requests as needed. Review litigation and business filings to determine deadlines. Enter and update docket entries. Produce various Docket Reports. Troubleshoot docket concerns and issues. Provide ongoing information and technical support to lawyers and business professionals throughout the firm concerning the specific policies and general mechanics relating to the docketing process. SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED Ability to manage and prioritize multiple details and deadlines. Ability to function effectively within a team while maintaining independent work. Ability to interact with all levels of firm personnel with professionalism. Ability to work well under pressure with skills in time management. Working knowledge of all litigation and business court filings. SPECIFIC SKILLS PREFERRED Experience with docketing software such as CompuLaw. Proficiencies in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree and between two and four years of litigation docketing or relevant litigation legal support or database experience, or equivalent. Experience in a law firm is preferred.
