Actalent Licensed Practical Nurse in Seattle, Washington

Description:

  • Outpatient imaging center open Monday-Friday

  • Provides direct patient care

  • Assesses and monitors patient condition and initiate appropriate nursing interventions

  • Informs and prepares patient procedures (makes pre-calls, chart review, and documentation)

  • Assists with contrast reactions or infiltrations

  • Intervenes when any patient develops a problem or in emergency situations

  • Starts and assesses IV lines and Port-a-Cath, according to scope of practice

  • With provider oversight, assisting with procedures and treatments whenever necessary

  • Responsible for assisting with CPR training, OSHA, Health and Safety and new employee training

  • Attends CQI meetings as assigned and helps implement and new policies or procedures

  • Participates in continuing education programs

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Prefer 2+ years of LPN experience in a primary care, hospital, and/or radiology setting preferred -- experience with starting IVs and Port-a-Caths.

  • Active WA LPN license

  • Active BLS certification

Experience Level:

Intermediate Level
