Responsibilities At Baker Tilly, the Leave and Accommodations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting team members on their leave and accommodations journeys. Reporting to the Leave and Accommodations Manager the Specialist will partner closely with the Payroll, Legal, Benefits and our People Solutions Business Partners to ensure leave and accommodations are appropriately captured, documented and executed in accordance with regulation and Baker Tilly policies and programs. The Specialist will evaluate and discuss leave and accommodation options with team members, prepare and maintain employee files as required including facilitating the completion of necessary documentation for leave and accommodations cases in files and in the HRIS as appropriate, and maintain communication with team members on leave or with an accommodation as appropriate. The Leave and Accommodations Specialist will also work closely with payroll to ensure appropriate wage replacement policies are applied, regularly conduct audits to ensure appropriate compliance, support analysis of leave and accommodation-related data, and support and contribute to process improvements as our firm grows. Essential Responsibilities * Respond to inquiries and conduct intake calls with team members requesting a leave of absence * Appropriately respond to leave requests with appropriately documentation as required by the Family Medical Leave Act and any other jurisdictional requirements * Clearly outline responsibilities and expectations with team members as they prepare for a leave of absence, while on leave, and when returning from leave * With support, evaluate and articulate team members' leave options by interpreting and administering leave programs and policies consistently across the firm; answering and escalating questions as appropriate * Facilitate system changes to ensure application of appropriate leave policies and structure, ensuring appropriate wage replacement and compliance with any entitlements as applicable * Maintain reasonable communication with team members on leave to facilitate a smooth and timely transition back to work; ensuring appropriate documentation is captured, if applicable. * To view the full job description,
