Indigo Slate Learning Consultant in Seattle, Washington

  • Providing IT management consulting services.

We are looking for a Learning Consultant (LC) to join our Sales and Partner Success Consulting practice who is passionate about helping our client strengthen its partner readiness programs through robust plans for partner learning. LCs work closely with our client’s partners to build teams, skills and ultimately deliver on business objectives for learning and certification.

Note that the LC is a consultant and SME for the operational aspects of learning programs (such as certification, tools, processes, training, and exams) but is not a specialist in learning and development.

Position description

LCs are responsible for advising, guiding, developing, maintaining, and executing plans for learning. They establish and embed processes for learner journeys into partner organizations. LCs provide ongoing support for learning programs and program updates.

Motivated, analytical, and strategic thinkers—who also have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to develop and execute plans—will succeed in this consultative role.

Expected high-level skills and experience

  • Consultative approach to problem solving

  • Senior stakeholder management

  • Change management and problem solving

  • Strategic thinking (i.e., well-rounded learning plan with a focus on driving business outcomes rather than just chasing numbers)

  • Commercial awareness

  • Data analytics/ story telling (ability to dig into data trends and forecast to derive a story from it)

  • Work with agility and ambiguity

  • Excellent executive communication skills, both written and oral

  • Tact and persuasive ability

  • IT and presentation skills

  • Highly collaborative across various business functions

  • Experience working with a tech organization (i.e., partner)

  • Sales or pre-sales background strongly encouraged

  • Cloud Digital Leader (CDL) certification preferred

Expected tasks and responsibilities

· Conduct partner/client learning needs analysis (discovery and scoping)

· Propose strategic learning plans to all internal and external stakeholders

· Prescribe relevant learning based on scope and workload (such as certifications, solutions, products, etc.)

· Identify and qualify relevant learner audiences within partners

· Build custom partner learning plans, where required, based on the results of scoping/needs analysis and business priority

· Monitor learner progress and detect any issues

· Flag issues and create plans to resolve them

· Monitor and analyze learning stats for data-driven decisions

· Set expectations with partners on support level/cadence

· Meet regularly with key individuals at partner firms

· Assess pros and cons of possible strategies

· Explore business problems and create different solution models

· Attend meetings and compile and present information verbally, visually, and in writing to keep partners and internal stakeholders up to date on progress

· Make recommendations for improvement and present to partners and internal stakeholders

· Implement agreed-upon solutions

· Develop and implement new procedures and/or training to support proposed changes

Skills and qualifications

We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications, skills, and experiences:

· 5+ years relevant experience in Learning and Development, preferably as a consultant

· 3+ years designing and architecting Enterprise Learning Solutions

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a smart, assertive personality

· Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while working from vision through execution

· Storytelling (written and oral)

· Bachelor’s Degree in Learning and Development, Adult Learning Theory, Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field (required)

· Master’s or Master’s Candidate (preferred)

Salary ranges -  USD 85,000 per annum to USD 125,000 per annum depending on experience and location.
