100% FTE – 40 hours per week
Day Shift – UW MEDICINE ITS SERVICES CORE HOURS ARE 08:00 – 17:00 (PST), Monday-Friday DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW Medicine IT Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center (VMC), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.

100% matching, 100% immediately vesting 403(b) PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting the direction and priorities of the Manager by coordinating and overseeing the operational activities and system maintenance, and ensuring standard services are meeting appropriate targets
Prioritizing and distributing the workload throughout the team, managing the day-to-day workflow, and reporting to the manager the status of work assignments
Providing a point of escalation for operational and other service issues
Interacting with customers and performing detailed requirements analysis
Analyzing work process flows and technical solutions to bridge the gap between current and future states
Designing, building, testing, and implementing of enhancements to meet requirements
Collaborating and coordinating with other application teams (clinical and non-clinical) on research related build
Guiding research needs and cross-over with Clinical Trial Management System
Building, developing, and supporting interfaces/bridges/billing
Leading production support and ongoing system troubleshooting, maintenance, monitoring, and training
Leading projects, processes, and documentation to support customer needs
Identifying and proposing service management improvements
Providing advice, coaching, and mentorship to team on work techniques, best practices, and operational expertise
Serving as the manager’s delegate to represent the team to customers, project managers, technical leadership, and organizational management REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience
Currently holds multiple current Epic (or equivalent with other EHRs) application certifications in relevant functional/business area. May require additional Epic or other EHR systems experience
Currently holds or is willing to complete necessary certifications (determined at time of hire) within first 6 months of employment. Certifications may include, but are not limited to, Core Clinical, Research (clinical or billing) Beacon, Hospital Billing/Professional Billing, Clinical apps and Healthy Planet
5+ years’ experience must include the following:
3+ year(s) of experience providing EHR systems application maintenance/support
3+ year(s) of experience with application/system configuration and implementation of clinical information systems (and/or healthcare applications)
1+ year(s) of formal mentorship for technology professionals
Advanced experience with EHR systems application maintenance/support
Advanced experience with application/system configuration and implementation of clinical information systems (and/or healthcare applications)
Advanced experience with clinical research - particularly utilizing Epic and/or OnCore CTMS
Advanced experience participating in defining customer requirements, translating them into design specifications
