Meta Launch Manager in Seattle, Washington

Summary:

Meta’s Metaverse Store Content Management team is seeking a Launch Manager to take ownership of operations programs supporting the launch and post-launch success of a wide variety of gaming, application, and media content in mixed reality. The role will involve operating at multiple levels, from high-level strategic planning to detail-oriented, tactical program creation & management. The ideal candidate is already well-versed in mobile, PC, or video game console app store distribution and has experience building content management programs. The candidate should be an enthusiastic and flexible teammate, have proven negotiation skills, and a strong analytical mind that thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment.Launch Manager (2D). This role will provide white-glove technical, operational, and strategic support to 1P, 2P, and 3P managed developers launching 2D applications on the Meta Quest Store. This role will also act as a key SME and internal stakeholder who will support & influence the development of the new 2D application submission, ingestion, review and publishing pipeline.

Required Skills:

Launch Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Provide white glove support for high-profile / 2D managed developers from pre-QA kickoff through release and post-release support

  2. Serve as a subject matter expert on submission and publishing workflows, providing guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders on a wide range of projects including the launch of new hardware devices, monetization levers, merchandising efforts, and more.

  3. Create new workflows and relevant documentation to support 2D submission and publishing workflows.

  4. Report on trends and advocate for platform-level solutions based on the developer publishing experience.

  5. Proactively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and suggesting axes of improvement to optimize the efficiency and impact of internal support services.

  6. Track, configure, and execute launches in a proprietary content management system.

  7. Evaluate special requests for feasibility and scoping, work with engineering and other stakeholders to define and execute the launch plan. Propose methods to standardize requests that come up frequently.

  8. Provide guidance and support for other members of the Store Operations team for complex launches.

  9. Incident management for launch issues: take ownership and work with Engineering, Customer Support, Communications, Marketing, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to drive to resolution. Participate in retrospective analysis to identify and resolve root cause.

  10. Propose self-service tools, documentation, or other improvements to the Quest Store submission and launch process to increase efficiency and reliability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of experience with app/game production, operations, QA, or developer relations.

  2. Proven experience juggling multiple projects with fluctuating deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

  3. Experience working with product, engineering, and design teams

  4. Analytical and problem-solving experience

  1. 5+ years of program management or similar experience

  2. Release Manager / Launch Manager experience

  3. Familiarity with the video game ecosystem

  4. Experience executing international launches

Public Compensation:

$129,000/year to $187,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
