Basic Job Functions:
*BASIC FUNCTIONS: *The primary role of the Chemistry Lab Tech is to perform chemical testing of steel and slag samples, to provide the melt shop team with chemistry aims, and to coordinate the casting, stacking, and charging of billets. Other duties include, but are not limited to, accurately recording results of melt shop production into computer & paper records, maintaining an accurate billet inventory, performing measuring equipment verification & routine daily maintenance, and supporting the Nucor Seattle Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14000, VPP).
Pay Grade-18-$32.43/hr. plus ROA bonusSafety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
