We go out of our way to give our customers the help they need. Our Network Support team specializes in our most highly technical and sophisticated network products –issues can span installation, operation, configuration, customization, performance and usage. Fully trained on the latest upgrades or new products, the team can diagnose the problem and recommend the right solution.
The Lab Support Principal Engineer will manage the planning, development, installation and operations of network systems by evaluating current and future business requirements and provide support for all customers as it relates to network design, network operations, network convergence and network security.
Provides support, investigating, analyzing, and resolving problems on network components
Makes recommendations on the development of new internal programs or modifications of current systems
Identifies opportunities for process and procedure enhancements to drive efficiency and customer service levels
Performs complex issue analysis and may perform lead role on smaller or less complex projects
Support multiple enterprise-wide DNS environments with split-view DNS name resolution.
Support DHCP services across multiple sites and regions
Work with global network and engineering teams to support infrastructure for enterprise cloud & data center / hybrid environments
Routinely applies broad knowledge of network-related processes and procedures to the completion of complex assignments.
Strong ability to diagnose, plan and implement whilst working collaboratively with other teams to deliver complex solutions.
Must be able to communicate with excellent English skills
Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years relevant experience or master’s degree with 6+ years relevant experience; or equivalent work experience; experience to include operations experience of Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), BIND, and Active Directory
4 years’ experience with DDI vendor platforms such as Bluecat, Infoblox, VitalQIP along with Linux System Administration
Strong knowledge of appropriate networks, products and protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, DNS, DHCP, Layer 2, Layer 3
Strong troubleshooting skills
Customer management skills and strong communication skills
Ability to work in a virtual team environment
Advanced understanding of TCP/IP Networking including OSI Model
Experience diagnosing network problems using Wireshark, Fiddler, and other diagnostic tools
