As a lab manager, you will support lab operations and safety. Key responsibilities will include procurement, inventory tracking, lab equipment maintenance, and budgeting. In this role, you will also serve as the main liaison between the lab and vendors.

Key job responsibilities

• Oversee the procurement of reagent, consumables, and instruments essential to the operation of the lab

• Establish relationships with external vendors. Work with vendors to source consumables and reagents.

• Work with vendors to maintain capital equipment. Manage all lab-related calibration, preventative maintenance, repairs, service contract renewal, and equipment upgrades

• Work closely with the Facilities, Operations, and Procurement teams.

• Serve as liaison with EH&S

• Maintain budgets.

• Develop laboratory guidelines and maintain procedures manuals.

• Manage lab assistants who maintain reagents and consumables.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree

• 5-7 years of proven expertise in managing lab resources, equipment, and supplies.

• 5+ years of lab procurement experience

• Proven track record of implementing strategies for optimizing lab operations, with a focus on cost-efficiency, time-efficiency, and maintaining compliance with regulatory protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with lab automation

• Knowledge of EH&S regulations and requirements for laboratory safety

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
