The Operations Support Squad at Meta is hiring a Jr. Engineer to support, improve and maintain an existing data labeling system that enables offline experimentation, offline metric tracking, offline training data generation, content moderation, and content filtering. The OSS is a key system that Meta uses to enable human raters to label predefined data efficiently that’s used across different teams inside Facebook.

Day to Day Responsibilities Include:

• Monitoring system functionality

• Ad hoc support

• Bug fixing

• Monitoring and adding test cases to system

• Buliding UI for raters

• Build dataswarm pipelines

Top Skills Details

• Software Development internship or 1-2 years of professional experience

• Customer facing experience (can be internal)

• Computer Science degree or related

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Team is using PHP and Hack (internal Facebook tool). Candidates do not need to have PHP but must be open to learning it.

• Required soft skills include: Passion for analyzing and solving problems with existing systems to make them work better, strong communication and commitment to teamwork and collaboration, and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly.

• Computer science degree strongly preferred

• Ideal candidates will be recent grads with interest/experience in DevOps and system maintenance/optimization.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00
