The Jr. Developer Program (JDP) Administrative Team is seeking a Jr. Administrative Assistant to support one of Amazon's elite internship programs. This role is an exciting opportunity to learn how to run a global, cross-functional internship program, contribute to career-changing opportunities for students worldwide, and continuously innovate on behalf of your customers. Jr. Administrative Assistants are key to planning and executing many of our day-to-day program-related tasks, including recruiting coordination, event planning, project management, and general administrative support. They integrate into their site's JDP population and create meaningful connections with other program participants. Jr. Administrative Assistants support the execution of team-level goals, collaborate with team members, communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders, and contribute fresh perspectives to what we do.

Jr. Administrative Assistant candidates must be exceptionally organized and have excellent communication abilities. Candidates have an interest in launching new initiatives and enjoy the challenges that come with innovation. They thrive under pressure and seek opportunities for growth. Most importantly, candidates are customer-obsessed and regularly work backwards from their customer.

The Jr. Administrative Assistant role is an internship offered by the Jr. Developer Program. Jr. Developer Program roles provide several unique offerings that set them apart from other internship opportunities:

  • Year-round employment: 16 hrs/week during the school year and 40hrs/week during the summer and school breaks.

*Working schedules must fall within 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday. Alternative hours may be requested to accommodate program-related events. All hours worked on-site at an assigned Seattle corporate office.

About the team

The Jr. Developer Program is Amazon's elite year-round internship program for students interested in gaining real-world experience in Software Engineering, Business Intelligence Engineering, Data Science, and Applied Science. The JDP is active at 15+ corporate sites across the US, Canada, Spain, and continues to grow. The Jr. Developer Program Administrative Team supports all operational aspects of the JDP, including recruiting, performance management, engagement, and full-time conversions. We're continuously innovating on behalf of our customers and strive to be Amazon's most in-demand internship program.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university Bachelor's or Master's degree program.

  • Graduating June 2027 and beyond.

  • Ability to work year-round until graduation (part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer).

  • Ability to work 100% in person at an assigned corporate site in Seattle, WA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Majoring in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or related field.

  • Interest in Program Management, Project Management, Recruiting, or Event Planning.

  • Previous customer service experience.

  • Proven organizational abilities.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Beginner/Intermediate Excel skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $20.19/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $38.37/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
