Shop hours are: Monday - Friday 6am - 4:30pm Rotating Saturdays 7:00am - 12:00pm The Role Charlies Produce is looking for an experienced Journey Level Fleet Mechanic to join a fast-paced work environment that requires flexibility to service the needs of our customers & team members. Our fleet consists of passenger up to Class 8 vehicles. In this role, you will perform truck repair and maintenance work, run diagnostics on vehicles, and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. There will be a focus on preventative maintenance, complex diagnosis, and repair along with ability to order parts. A specific set of tools is required for this position. Essential Functions Include but Not Limited To: Collaborate with the repair team to diagnose and plan repairs. Maintain complete and accurate maintenance records. Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections. Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the work area. Ability to train and motivate team members. Knowledge of shop flow; dispatching and scheduling. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Required Skills and Experience Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must be team-oriented. Ability to work without direct supervision and prioritize activities under pressure. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Focused on maintaining a high level of customer service. Able to work on your feet for 8+ hours. Good communication skills. Basic computer and email skills for regular daily communication with coworkers and departments. Preferred Skills and Experience The following certifications are a PLUS! DOT Inspector Certification. Air Brake Inspector Certification. Refrigeration 608 & 609 Certifications. CDL A or B.
