Transportation Engineer 2 (In-Training) *Multiple Locations Western Washington -- Northwest Region *$64,474 -- $95,621 Annually
Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Northwest Region (NWR) is seeking enthusiastic engineers who are passionate about creative solutions and innovation to demonstrate success in collaborative efforts. Multiple positions throughout the Northwest Region, including Bellingham, Burlington, Mount Vernon, and Shoreline, are open to entry-level and journey-level engineers and college students expected to graduate from an engineering program by July 2025. These are exciting career opportunities to contribute to some of Washington State's most significant infrastructure projects.
The Northwest Region encompasses areas between King County and Whatcom County, stretching from Seattle to the Canadian border. This region includes the largest metropolitan area in the state, known for having one of the most thriving economies in the nation! Projects in this region involve leading design and inspection tasks, managing Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for construction, developing design materials, and supporting project administration through budget and schedule tracking.
