Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Seattle, WA This is a 12 + month contract position. Responsibilities: Work closely with our line of business and architects to provide implementation solutions to protect various software applications Create a prototype to prove the design Prepare UML diagrams to describe the current state of the application in terms of these parameters and also describes the future state Be involved in every release, every project, and in all the phases of SDLC like Analysis, Technical Design, Development, Testing and Deployment Review project artifacts to ensure that the application suites interests are adequately addressed Supervise and develop software to ensure delivery of Initiatives for specific applications or application groups Supervise initiatives in parallel from a Software development standpoint to ensure applications are engaged in correct processes resulting in stable, quality deliverables Develop, enhance, test, support, maintain and debug software applications that support business units or support functions Responsible for assisting senior business leaders and management Provide strategic technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives Utilize in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization Lead or has responsibility for estimation of effort for software application for one or more programmers Coordinate collaboration with external programming teams to deliver software on time and within budget Provide feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives Requirements: Over 10+ years of hands on working experience to develop the mission critical, large scale, high volume enterprise & distributed applications by using Java/J2EE Experience developing with the following languages and libraries -Java, Spring Framework, SQL Strong understanding of OO design and having strong programming skills with Java Knowledge of using one or multiple J2EE application servers. Strong experience in Java development of RESTful Services using the Spring Framework, Spring Boot and SOAP Webservices Experience with Apache Kafka for online data publishing and consuming Experience on Junit Test cases development, Performance Testing, Optimization and Code analysis Experience of using Relational Oracle SQL/PLSQL and No SQL distributed Cassandra DB Technologies Strong experience on using Development tools like Eclipse/IntelliJ IDE's, Maven, GIT, Bit Bucket, CI/CD pipelines, Splunk and SOAP UI Experience in building of high volume, scalable, available & distributed Technologies Experience on standard development design patterns of Creational, Behavioral & JEE Experience on handling of cross functional issues by coordinating with distributed development teams across the regions Experience with development models such as Agile and SDLC Knowledge of test driven development Desired skills: Automation Confluence Result Orientation Stakeholder Management Technical Strategy Development Architecture Business Acumen Risk Management Solution Delivery Process Solution Design Agile Practices Analytical Thinking Collaboration Data Management DevOps Practices Pay Range: $61.60 - $69.60 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
