Working with the Intranet Manager, the Intranet Specialist provides training, consultation, and hands-on technical expertise in support of our SharePoint-based intranet, which is a critical employee communications and collaboration channel at Moss Adams. Part of the Marketing department, this role partners directly with business users throughout the firm to translate their objectives into technology solutions, delivering valued insights and instruction. Not a traditional tech support role, the Intranet Specialist bridges the gap between business and technology, serving as essential advisor to a constantly-innovating organization. This position also plays a key role in building and maintaining core intranet sites, and assists with administering other internal communications tools, including multimedia content, event webcasting, and digital signage.

Responsibilities

  • Builds relationships with business users, consulting on how our intranet tools can help them achieve their goals

  • Partners with business users to translate their business requirements into the development of new SharePoint sites and applications

  • Delivers training on SharePoint use and best practices

  • Participates in, and sometimes manages, projects to upgrade and expand intranet functionality

  • Serves as an escalation contact for SharePoint matters submitted through the help desk, partnering with IT to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

  • Supports other internal communications technology as needed (e.g., video production and management, digital signage, live event webcasting, podcasting production)

  • Builds and maintains SharePoint sites in support of internal communications efforts

  • Promotes intranet visual design and content governance standards, enforcing when necessary

  • Tracks and analyzes SharePoint site analytics

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience required; experience in communications or intranet management preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a related field preferred

  • Experience with site administration of SharePoint 2013 or higher required

  • Prior experience with Flow or SharePoint Designer workflow development, InfoPath, Forms, or PowerApps forms design, and other Office 365 modern workplace tools preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral presentation skills, especially when relating technical terms and concepts to non-technical users

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to own and drive project schedule from start to finish

  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%
