SUMMARY Responsible for auditing the daily operations of the outsourcing Billing Team and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the monthly billing processes and transactions. This role also maintains a personal book of business with health and welfare benefit plans, providing excellent customer service, and managing client benefits. Responsibilities encompass auditing, training, reporting, and maintaining high standards of team deliverables. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Audits the team's monthly Consolidated Billing Statement (CBS) before it is sent to clients using a grading system. * Delivers benefit administration services to clients who outsource their employee benefits. * Audits, trains, and supports Billing Coordinators with consolidated billing, benefit calculations, and carrier reconciliations. * Provides feedback to the team on monthly audit findings with areas of improvement and schedules necessary training. * Ensures accurate execution of carrier plan rules and premiums. * Confirms tasks are met timely by tracking each Billing Coordinator's deliverables monthly. * Evaluates Excel formulas for effectiveness and accurate calculation. * Assists department manager with team transition planning, staff training, tracking, monitoring team workflow,and resolving escalated billing issues and calculation problems. * Identifies and address learning opportunities within the team. * Creates and maintain the billing team training manual/playbook. * Calculates premiums for health care, disability, life insurance, and other benefit plans and prepare a monthly consolidated billing statement. * Uploads client AR/AP reports into Quickbooks, maintaining a high level of accuracy while working with complex benefits administration and accounting details. * Performs client premium account and benefits database audit and reconciliation. * Prepares monthly eligibility audit reports for distribution as required. * Audits COBRA elections and eligibility against billed COBRA premiums. * Completes monthly administrative tasks for the Billing team. * Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates. * Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Seven (7) or more years of experience in Benefits administration and billing Experience in training new employees and leadership skills Experience with premium payment reconciliation, and administering COBRA and benefits eligibility in BeneTrac or similar
