Cambia Health Solutions Internal Audit Internship in Seattle, Washington
Internal Audit Internship This full-time, 12-week internship is scheduled to begin in June 2025.The Internal Audit Intern will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of audits of corporate systems and processes, company operations, and compliance, as well as special projects as requested. Research and Planning: * Gather, collect, and assemble data and information * Perform research on subjects such as industry best practices, organizational issues, or policies/procedures, and applications used by the business * Document the processes and outcomes of research and investigation * Survey narrow-scope audit areas, and recommend direction and objectives of the proposed audit Audit Activities: * Perform audit activities following audit standards and in accordance with the approved audit plan * Evaluate basic application and management control systems * Analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations * Review the reliability and integrity of networks/applications/etc. as assigned, and how availability, data integrity, and confidentiality are protected * Review and test compliance with internal and external rules, laws, and regulations * Identify opportunities to improve Cambia operations/application controls and recommend solutions * Document findings and conclusions and prepare reports * Document the audit work and support the basis for audit conclusions and recommendations * Participate in pre-audit and interim progress meetings with Cambia staff and present results of work verbally or in writing Other Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Participation in various professional development events such as executive lunches, community service projects, industry and/or leadership training Combine your academic experience with the following skills and abilities: * Minimum of two years university education working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems or related field * Analytical and problem solving, interest in risk management, auditing, and information technology * Strong oral and written communication skills * Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel a must. Prior experience using data analytics tools a plus. Prior experience with IT development projects a plus * Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment * Self-driven and independent, capable of working a project/assignment with clear direction while not requiring daily supervision * Possess a minimum 3.4 cumulative undergraduate grade point average * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States The base hourly pay for this job is $25.00/hour About Cambia Working at Cambia means being part of a purpose-driven, award-winning culture built on trust and innovation anchored in our 100+ year history.
