Alaska Marine Lines Intern – Business Analytics - DF694 in Seattle, Washington
Alaska Marine Lines is seeking a Business Analytics Intern to work as part of our Seattle based team.
You will meet with department leads to understand data and management reportingneeds in order to plan, design and develop more timely,more effective andeasier to manage reports and dashboards. This is a job posting for an internship. Interns generally work 40 hours per week for a period of 10-12 weeks during the summer months.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- - Assist AMLs Business Process managerto workwithAMLbusinessleadsto understand data and information requirements, and develop effective solutions. Determine, document and communicate supporting project plans, work estimates, and task prioritization.
- - Assist in the research, identification and acquisition of new datarequirementsto facilitate business requirements. Workwith I.T.colleagues to incorporate requirements into data sources.
- - The position reports to AMLs Business Process Manager (Customer Servicedept)and closely collaborates in the development and delivery of solutionswith LyndensBusiness Intelligence and Data Warehouseteam.
- - Workwith end users to promoteusability ofdeveloped reports and dashboards and to provide a basic level of self-sufficiency in order to build ormodify analyses themselves.
