The Team

Interns at Alaska and Horizon join teams throughout different departments such as Maintenance and Engineering, Marketing and so on. Interns work on visible projects that impact our guests and business. Beyond hands-on experience, interns also get the opportunity to network with employees and company leaders. What’s more, our interns can fly standby travel on Alaska Airlines during their internship. That means many weekends are filled with jet setting across the country.

Key Duties

• Assists in the development and formulation of sales strategies and programs. Provides data insights into program performance and market analytics.

• Develops experience with the end-to-end contracting process – including contract review, ROI modeling, building of terms, driving contracts and related exhibits, managing signatories, issuing addendums for contract changes and documenting, and updating in our tools (Salesforce, PRISM, DocuSign) and the Sales server.

• Helps with Sales event planning – including GBTA, market dinners, corporate happy hours and sponsored events (like the Boeing Classic).

• Builds skill set using corporate sales analytics programs (PRISM, Tableau, SQL, Salesforce and Diio) that support the field sales team.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

• Working toward a Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business administration, economics, statistics, mathematics or a related area.

• Familiar with data analysis programs (e.g. Excel, PowerBI, SQL, Alteryx, or Tableau).

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

• Able to travel as required for Sales events.

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.

• Must have achieved a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum age of 18.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

• A passion for the Airline industry and willingness to learn.

Starting Rate

USD $25.00/Hr.

Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air pay and benefits can vary by company, location, number of regularly scheduled hours worked, length of employment, and employment status.
