POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Responsible for managing the planning, design, construction and closeout phases for small on the Harborview campus. Work throughout the 2 million square foot campus and interact with designers, contractors, consultants, administrative and front-line staff, managers, hospital leadership, engineering, construction services, infection prevention, environmental services and other departments. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Facilities and Capital Development Division is a team of highly motivated and diverse individuals that are driven by Harborview’s mission to serve the most vulnerable residents of King County. Harborview is on the precipice of a $1.7B campus expansion effort, funded by a King County bond measure that was passed by the voters in 2020.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In partnership with Facilities and Capital Development leaders, you will serve as the main project resource for all phases of assigned facility projects Manage multiple projects with varying schedules, budgets and other constraints and provide periodic reporting Maintain project controls and proper project documentation throughout the project lifecycle Provide clear direction to furniture consultant and/or contractor teams to meet project and stakeholder objectives Coordinate contractor site logistics/work plans with clinical leaders for advanced authorization and approvals Coordinate throughout with project teams and other stakeholders to review plans, specifications and campus standards to communicate and enforce project compliance Coordinate the procurement, delivery and installation of Owner items (FFE, MME, signage, etc) Other duties as assigned SECONDARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Furniture Liason

Process incoming furniture request work orders in a timely and efficient manner. Coordinate quotes and furniture procurement with vendors and end users. Issue work orders for minor construction work needed to support small furniture and move requests. Examples include installing or moving electrical outlets, installation of data/phone ports, cleaning, and painting spaces. Oversee furniture installations per HMC’s Furniture Vendor Process guidelines. Coordinate furniture warranty work, manage furniture inventory re-deploy existing furniture when possible. Move Coordination

Process incoming move request work orders in a timely and efficient manner. Assist with move coordination on major Capital Projects. Be the single point of contact for move coordination including recommending and enforcing space and finish policies/standards.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or Planning. 6-8 years experience in construction project management, move coordination or small projects management – occupied healthcare experience preferred Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment Excellent customer service skills required Excellent work ethic and strong organizational skills Ability to obtain appropriate results with minimal direction Ability to set priorities and deal effectively with interruptions, constantly changing priorities and stressful situations Skilled in communications and able to work with people in a tactful and diplomatic manner, using good judgment, while exercising discretion and sensitivity Analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Bluebeam and other project management platforms
