Harborview Medical Center – Radiology has an outstanding opportunity for a IMAGING TECHNOLOGIST SUPERVISOR .

WORK SCHEDULE - FULL-TIME; 100% FTE; 40 hours per week; 4 x 10 hour shifts - DAY Shift

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Advanced diagnostic imaging, specialized clinical expertise. Radiology Services at Harborview Medical Center offers a full complement of radiology tests and imaging procedures, including nuclear medicine and interventional radiology (angiography).

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This role will report to the Imaging Director. 24 hour responsibility for coordinating operations, working with lead technologists, on call required. Coordinate patient flow through the Department. Ensure efficient and high quality patient service at the lowest cost. Supervise Lead Technologists and Technologists, in the following modalities: Radiography, Computed Tomography, Interventional Radiography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound.

  • Communicate vision and provide leadership and direction to staff members. Prepare and complete payroll, coordinate interviewing/hiring process for staff, approve leave and evaluate staff performance and perform competency assessments. Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to technical aspects of the Department. Be knowledgeable in the detailed operation of the IDXRad Radiology Information System. Assure appropriate, effective utilization of the system. Maintain quality assurance/quality control/radiation safety program standards. Review patient requisitions to assure that they contain complete patient information; contact appropriate patient care areas as necessary to clarify incomplete requisitions. Maintain adequate department supplies.
  • Develop and present in-services to staff. Provide data to Radiology management and Medical Director concerning quality assurance, staffing, patient flow patterns, department performance, productivity and budget. Fiscally responsible and maintain budgetary and productivity targets. As part of the management team, participate in planning, research, and educational activities. Perform technologist duties as necessary and may be assigned administrative operational oversight in the absence of Imaging Manager.

    REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in an AMA approved school; registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) AND registered or registry-eligible in an equivalent specialty area
  • One year of experience performing the work of an Imaging Technologist Lead in the relevant specialty service area(s) OR Equivalent education/experience.
