Northwest Seafood Processors HR/Payroll Administrator in Seattle, Washington

Job Descriptions:

  • Process semi-monthly payrolls.

  • Assist with recruitment, including submitting job postings online, scheduling, and candidate interviews.

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all transactions supporting employee benefit plans: medical, dental and 401(k), Section 125, including monthly reconciliation of service provider billings.

  • Perform administrative work, including scheduling, maintaining files and sorting mail for the Human Resources department

  • Complete and process paperwork related to employment including new hire forms, I-9 verification, benefits, terminations, & status changes.

  • Maintain and update HR/Payroll/Benefits information in the HRIS.

  • Assist employees with completion of their new hire paperwork.

  • Create and maintain personnel files and records including employee, confidential, and benefit files.

  • Maintain and update employee training database.

  • Handle claims and reporting related to workers compensation and unemployment.

  • Respond to verification of employment requests.

  • Coordinate logistics for new hire orientations and employee training sessions

  • Complete annual reporting for EEO-1, maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

  • Respond to surveys or reports from the BLS, Employment Security, and any other agency as required.

  • Act as back up to front office by answering phones, gate, and assisting visitors.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Experience:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, human services or related field preferred.

  • Minimum one year of work experience in human resources or related field preferred.

  • Excellent customer services skills (internal and external).

  • Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks to achieve deliverables and meet deadlines.

  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems with emphasis on MS Office including Excel, Word, and web -based applications.

  • Knowledge of health benefits and employee insurances preferred

Certificates and Licenses:

HR certification preferred
