UW Medical Center - Northwest Surgical Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Hospital-Assistant Administrator WORK SCHEDULE Full time day shift

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Reporting to the Senior Associate Administrator for nursing practice and the Clinical Director of Operative and Perioperative Services for operations, provides leadership for Perioperative Services at the Northwest Hospital Main Operating Rooms, Peri-Anesthesia Care Units, Outpatient Surgery Center, Anesthesia Technical Services, Pre-Anesthesia Clinic, Central Sterile Processing Department and Prosthesis/Implant Department. This position is accountable to assure the provision of high quality, safe, patient-centered, efficient and cost-effective care.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Develops and oversees departmental cost centers to assure alliance with and adherence to the organization’s mission, vision, values, strategic goals, and business strategies.

  • Emphasize service excellence, patient and staff safety and organizational integration.

  • Leads Perioperative Services departments in overall program operations, program development and service priorities. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promotes effective managing, developing, and evaluating the competence and satisfaction of the staff workforce.

  • Operational Leadership

  • Human Resources Management

  • Performance Improvement/Regulatory Compliance

  • Financial Management REQUIREMENTS

  • BSN and Masters in Nursing, Health Care Administration, or other related healthcare/science field.

  • At least five years of management experience in Surgical Services operations in a large academic healthcare setting.

  • Successful track record of effective management/leadership, program managements skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Teamwork skills conducive to a collaborative, professional environment.
