The responsibilities will include working on the overall Project and CMC Health and Safety strategy, checking the contractor's adherence to the approved Health and Safety Plan and ensuring that the Contractor is compliant with all relevant Safety Regulations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the tasks below:Key responsibilities:Daily, weekly and monthly reportingConvening, preparing and running safety meetings internally and externally with in the ProjectArrange and Chair "Incident Review Board" immediately after all Health and Safety incidents and all follow up meetings; prepare and distribute meeting minutes for all meetingsTrack, monitor and ensure that Contractor's justification for close-out of incidents is appropriatePrepare and run a monthly "All Hands" CMC staff meeting, focusing on Health and Safety for the CMC staffInstruct employees on the recognition of hazards, observance of precautions, and the use Personal Protective EquipmentWork with the Contractor to proactively ensure that the Program Health and Safety Plan that has been developed is continuously updated and remains compliant to the ContractMonitor the Contractor's implementation of the Program Health and Safety planMonitor and audit the Contractor training sessions with their employeesConduct monthly Safety audits on the Contractors Health and Safety Program, with emphasis on Training, Reporting, Preventative Actions and Incident investigationsReview and approval of Construction Work Plans (CWP), Incident reports and other all Health and Safety related documentsRegular Safety compliance tours followed by a report detailing the findings, hazards, and/or violations discovered during the tourBe available to provide consultation in Safety related issues whenever necessaryParticipate in contractors internal Safety auditsManage all CMC Health and Safety related mattersParticipate in the reviews in Process Plans prepared by the contractor Managerial aspects:Management and organizational oversight of Health and Safety Inspectors. Manage staffing engagement, motivation and deployment for the team to ensure ongoing quality of service to Clients in accordance with the consultancy agreement.Provide technical and team leadership through excellent example, good team leadership characteristics, innovation, collaboration and decisive action.Motivate teams to excel in delivery of Health and Safety Managerial services, on-time performance and development of positive Client relationships.Provide detailed analysis and solutions to emerging managerial and other Health and Safety problems.Provide expertise in the preparation and production of contract documentation relating to Health and Safety.Candidate SpecificationCandidate will have the following qualifications:10-15 years of Railway Systems Construction and Installation experience10+ years of Health and Safety relating to Rail System Projects.Proven team leader with refined staffing, development and deployment skills with experience with supervision on Rail Systems projects.A Masters or Bachelor's degree or equivalent Health and Safety qualifications required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong literacy in Microsoft Office software package (Power Point presentation development essential)Able to work collaboratively with the team and clientFocus on client requirements including technical, schedule and budgetProven business developer, with experience in
