Amazon Search is looking for a self-driven, customer obsessed, and data savvy leader to lead product analytics and insights team for product development. You will have the opportunity to build a team with the right mix of analytics, business intelligence, data engineering and science, and product expertises to deliver customer and metrics insights that inform product planning and development.As the Senior Manager of Product Analytics and Insights, you are expected to leverage new and sophisticated data analysis techniques to drive high impact customer experiences and business results. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for driving customer feedback lifecycle management and tooling, designing and conducting rigorous analysis to form and then validate hypotheses, answering product and customer experience questions and evaluating product opportunities, and building and maintaining key product metrics. You will empower data-driven decision making by implementing principles of data mining and data modeling to produce actionable insights that sharpen a product vision and recommendations. You will power through ambiguity, find the right solutions to problems, and influence others to align with your approach and help drive results. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind.* Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields.* 10+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, analytics, data science, or product management.* 3+ years experience of managing business intelligence engineers, data analysts, data scientists, or product managers.* Data-driven decision making and quantitative analysis skills including deep knowledge of statistical analysis, SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing.* Experience with articulating product questions, pulling data from datasets (SQL) and using statistics to arrive at an answer on ambiguous projects.* Ability to prioritize well and think strategically while staying on top of tactical execution.* PhD degree with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature (e.g. Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, and Mathematics).* 10+ years of working experience in consumer facing internet and technology industry.* Experience in working in analytical roles for large scale search and/or recommendation products.* Experience in building and managing a multidisciplinary team including hiring, retaining, and developing the best.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capable of translating analysis results into product and business recommendations with deep insights.* Strong cross disciplinary and cross team collaboration skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders effectively.* Experience in running A/B tests and/or multivariate tests,
