Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.As part of a diverse and hardworking team of experts, you will design, build, integrate, and operate the test environment we utilize to verify the performance of our avionics and ground control systems on New Glenn. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) design and its use as a verification tool.As a Design and Integration Engineer, you will design, build and improve a modular, scalable HIL platform that can meet the company's long-term plans for enabling millions of people to live and work in space. You will be responsible for designing and integrating IO systems for HIL expansions. You will also interact with HIL customers to determine new requirement and design for specific use cases. Part of this interaction will be working side by side with vehicle and ground system designers to plan and conduct formal and informal test activities. You will need to participate in the development and presentation of material for gated design reviews, test readiness reviews, and verification reviews. You will be responsible for supporting the integration of flight avionics hardware, EGSE, ground consoles, simulations and analysis tooling necessary to verify the requirements and performance of units under test. You will also be responsible for supporting the execution of multi-domain integrated system tests in the HIL to support flight software and hardware qualification and operator training. You will own the development and maintenance a Technical Performance Measurement (TPM) system for the HIL labs to evaluate system performance and guide continuous improvement.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Qualifications:B.S. degree or higher in electrical engineering or related discipline5+ years of experience working within Aerospace or similar industryDemonstrated history of integrating software and hardware systemsSolid electrical engineering, digital and analog circuit fundamentals and lab skillsProficient in the use of standard electronic lab test and troubleshooting equipmentExperience with lab troubleshooting techniques, signal integrity, layout and grounding principlesExperience breaking down complex design problemsWillingness to work from incomplete requirementsAbility to embrace multiple paths to successExperience working with Linux operating systemsPreference for and ability to thrive as a member of a tightly integrated teamExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumDesired:Experience using PTC Creo and Windchill for design and engineering releaseExperience working in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or system integration labs (SIL)Extensive understanding of communication protocols, instrumentation interfaces and test equipmentUnderstanding of Ethernet, UDP/IP and multicastUnderstanding of metrology, sources of measurement error, and uncertainty analysisExperience developing and decomposing requirementsExperience with automated test infrastructureExport Control RegulationsApplic
