As an Hardware Dev Engineer, you will be able to work with some of the most talented engineers in the design and development of physical fulfillment systems around the globe. Responsibilities: * Invent, design, and implement engineering solutions to complex material flow/transformation and human/machine efficiency problems throughout the global Amazon supply chain. * Coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for the fulfillment and transportation network through equipment specification, material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations. * Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to generate high quality, cost effective solutions in very short periods of time. * Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors. * Interfacing with multiple amazon groups to develop and deploy the technologies across FCs and IXDs * Developing and managing test plans. * Maintaining high level of communications with cross-functional team, and partners. * Interfacing with engineering managers, product management, and/or program management to drive new product development programs from concept to deployment. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Or, BS in Mech Eng with a minimum of 2 years' experience in hardware solutions for robotics and automation or similar area (Design/Innovation, Research & Development, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related) * Ability to resolve complex issues in creative, efficient, and effective ways * Demonstrated ability to gain deep understanding of the business and end user needs quickly, and to proficiently translate needs into the correct technology solution. * Able to provide the customer and company-wide perspective to detailed technical decisions. * Excellent written (white papers) and oral communication skills * Ability to travel 40% globally to interact with internal and external business and technical leaders.
