Who we are looking for: VML is seeking a seeking a seasoned social media leader to drive the social strategy and lead the day-to-day work for one of our biggest clients on the west coast. You're a skilled leader who knows how to set the direction for social strategies, campaigns and activations for brands, while also setting the tone for a team. You'll act as a trusted advisor to clients on their social approach, and be a key contributor to the growth of the social practice at VMLY&R. What you'll do: Develop and oversee the creation of social strategies, social playbooks, activations and campaign ideas across multiple brands or lines of business Partner with creative, strategy, data and media teams to define and achieve a brand's social marketing goals Oversee social media campaigns, including user-generated content (UGC), influencer programs and real-time activations Represent VML's expertise and core values to clients, vendors and partners Hire, supervise, and guide the development of a team, matching skill sets and interests effectively with business needs Contribute to the ongoing evolution and improvement of our social capability and its products, services and reputation Who you are: Ability to apply knowledge of social media to effectively solve a wide variety of client challenges Expert communication and presentation skills in a wide variety of formats and settings Ability to build strong relationships across organizations, departments, teams and individuals Experience playing an active role in agency business development What you'll need: 10+ years of social marketing experience Experience hiring, developing and retaining a strong and diverse team Advanced understanding of social platforms, audiences and behaviors, and a nuanced perspective about social marketing What we offer: Passionate, driven people | We champion a culture of people that do extraordinary work.
